Follow the steps below to add and manage service operations using the management console.

  1. Log in to the management console and Services > List under the Main menu.  
  2. From the Deployed Services window that appears, click the service to which you want to activate reliable messaging.  
  3. The service's dashboard opens. Click Operations in the Quality of Service Configuration panel.

     
  4. The an operation from the Operations of Service window to open its dashboard.  
  5. The Operation Dashboard window apears. For example,
    The following information is available in the dashboard:

    Operation details

     

    Shows the following information:

     

    • Operation Name : Name of the operation
    • Service : The name of the Web service
    • MTOM : The status of the SOAP Message Transmission Optimization for the operation. For more information, see SOAP MTOM.  

     

    Quality of service configuration panel

     

    The following actions are available to an operation under its QoS panel.

    MTOM

     

    SOAP Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism (MTOM) is a widely used mechanism for sending attachments with SOAP. By default, MTOM is set to optional. You can set it to True or False. See

    • Request Count
    • Response Count
    • Fault Count
    • Maximum Response Time
    • Minimum Response Time
    • Average Response Time

     

    It also provides a graphical view of the system response time.
