WS-Policy is one of many asset models supported by the WSO2 Governance Registry. Read more on Supported APIs & Standards for a complete list of asset models supported by WSO2 Governance Registry.

Users can import Policies from user's local file system or from a given URL. Given policy file will be added to the location to the place where all the policies are stored.

Adding a policy 

Follow the instructions below to add a new Policy to the Governance Registry.

  1. Sign in. Enter your user name and password to log on to the Management Console.
  2. Click the "Main" button to access the "Metadata" menu. From the left navigation menu, under " Add, " in the "Metadata" menu, select " Policy."
  3. Select whether to import Policy from URL of upload it from a file.If importing from URL was selected, specify the URL of the Policy and its name.

    If uploading from file was selected, you can upload a single Policy file or a ZIP file (in .zip or .gar extension). See Creating a Governance Archive. Use the " Browse" button to upload a file.

    The name of a Policy will be added automatically.

  4. Click on the "Add" button.

To update an existing Policy, either delete and add it again or use the Resource Browser.

Listing policies

  1. All the added policy can be viewed under List WS > Policies
  2. Information such as Policy NamePolicy VersionLife Cycle status and Actions are illustrated about Policies.
  3. A policy can be selected by the name of the Policy.

When filtering the data using more than one value in the search field, use comma separated values with quotation marks to distinguish the values. E.g., if there are two entries with the words Connector and Resource, the search string would be: "Connector", "Resource".
