1) Click the Save as Draft button after creating the data source for the service. Step For step by step instructions on creating data services can be found on, refer to Create a Data Service Using Various Data Sources page.

2) The data service will be deployed and displayed in the Deployed Services list.

Note that this service is not an active service. Therefore, the user is not given the TryIt and retrieve WSDLs options. However, the service will not be listed as a faulty service.

3) Click on the data service name to open its dashboard. In the dashboard, click the Edit Data Service (XML Edit) link to open the data service's XML Editor.

4) Note that the service's status is inactive.

6) You can complete the service construction by editing the service using the Edit Data Service links in the Specific Configuration panel of the dashboard.
