Step 1 - Create two user roles
Sign into the Dashboard Server (DS) Management Console.
- For access via HTTP:
http://<DS_HTTP_HOST>:<HTTP_PORT>/admin/carbon/ - For access via secured HTTP:

- On the Main tab, click Add under Users and Roles.
- Click Add New Role.
- Enter the required details as follows:
- Domain - Select the user store to which you want to add the user role. Select Primary to use the primary user store for this tutorial.
Role Name - Enter a unique name for the user role.
Info The user roles should be named as follows: dashboardEditorRole and dashboardViewerRole
Click Finish.
- Repeat steps 3 to 6 to add the other user role.
Step 2 - Create two users
- On the Main tab, click Add under Users and Roles.
- Click Add New User.
- Enter the required details as follows:
- Domain - Select the user store to which you want to add user. Select Primary to use the primary user store for this tutorial.
