In order to compile and run sample clients for WSO2 Data Services Server, it is necessary to install Apache Ant the latest version on Solaris.

Change the version numbers according to your installation.
Follow the instructions below to install Apache Ant from the command line.
Establish a SSH connection to the Linux machine or log in on the text Linux console. You should either log in as root or obtain root permissions after login via su
or sudo
command.
Step 1. Download Apache Ant
wget http://www.apache.org/dist/ant/binaries/apache-ant-1.8.2-bin.tar.gz
Step 2. Extract Downloaded File
gunzip -c apache-ant-1.8.2-bin.tar.gz |tar xvf -
Step 3. Set Environmental Variables
Add the following lines to BASHRC file:
export ANT_HOME=/opt/apache-ant-1.8.2 export PATH=${ANT_HOME}/bin:${PATH}
Step 4. Check Installation
ant -version
