Changing the Host Name and Default Admin Password

Changing the host name

When the host name is changed in an App Manager instance, the following configurations should be changed accordingly.

  1. In the  <APPM_HOME>/repository/conf/carbon.xml file, update the following with the new host name:

    <HostName>localhost</HostName> <MgtHostName>localhost</MgtHostName>
  2. In the <APPM_HOME>/repository/conf/identity/sso-idp-config.xml file, update the following with the host name you entered above:

    <AssertionConsumerService>https://localhost:9443/store/acs</AssertionConsumerService>
    <AssertionConsumerService>https://localhost:9443/social/acs</AssertionConsumerService>
    <AssertionConsumerService>https://localhost:9443/publisher/acs</AssertionConsumerService>
  3. In the <APPM_HOME>/repository/conf/app-manager.xml file, update the following URLs with the new host name:

    <AuthManager> <ServerURL>https://${carbon.local.ip}:${mgt.transport.https.port}/services/</ServerURL> </AuthManager>
    <APIGateway> <Environments> <Environment type="hybrid"> .... <ServerURL>https://${carbon.local.ip}:${mgt.transport.https.port}/services/</ServerURL> .... <GatewayEndpoint>http://${carbon.local.ip}:${http.nio.port},https://${carbon.local.ip}:${https.nio.port}</GatewayEndpoint> </Environment> </Environments> </APIGateway>
    <APIKeyManager> <ServerURL>https://${carbon.local.ip}:${mgt.transport.https.port}/services/</ServerURL> </APIKeyManager>
    <SSOConfiguration> <IdentityProviderUrl>https://localhost:9443/samlsso</IdentityProviderUrl> <Configurators> <Configurator> .... <providerURL>https://localhost:9443</providerURL> .... </Configurator> .... </Configurators> </SSOConfiguration>

Changing the default admin password

To change the default admin password, log in to the management console with admin/admin credentials and use the Change my password option. After changing the password, do the following:

  1. In the <APPM_HOME>/repository/conf/app-manager.xml file, update the following with the new password:

    <AuthManager> <Username>admin</Username> <Password>admin</Password> </AuthManager>
    <APIGateway> <Username>admin</Username> <Password>admin</Password> </APIGateway>
    <APIKeyManager> <Username>admin</Username> <Password>admin</Password> </APIKeyManager>
    <SSOConfiguration> <username>admin</username> <password>admin</password> </SSOConfiguration>
    <EntitlementServiceConfiguration> <Username>admin</Username> <Password>admin</Password> </EntitlementServiceConfiguration>
