Follow the steps below to add and manage service operations using the management console.
- Log in to the management console and Services > List under the Main menu.
- From the Deployed Services window that appears, click the service to which you want to activate reliable messaging.
- The service's dashboard opens. Click Operations in the Quality of Service Configuration panel.
- The an operation from the Operations of Service window to open its dashboard.
- The Operation Dashboard window apears. For example,
The following information is available in the dashboard:Operation details
Shows the following information:
- Operation Name : Name of the operation
- Service : The name of the Web service
- MTOM : The status of the SOAP Message Transmission Optimization for the operation. For more information, see /wiki/spaces/DSS400/pages/31293870.
Quality of service configuration panel
The following actions are available to an operation under its QoS panel.
- Response Caching: See Response Caching
- Access Throttling: See Access Throttling
- MTOM: SOAP Message Transmission Optimization Mechanism (MTOM) is a widely used mechanism for sending attachments with SOAP. By default, MTOM is set to optional. You can set it to True or False. See /wiki/spaces/DSS400/pages/31293870.
- Message Flows: Message Flows provide graphical or textual views of the globally engaged handlers in the system at a given time. See Message Flows.
- Modules: Engages modules for a selected operation. See Module Configuration.
- Parameters : See Parameters
Statistics
The following statistics about the service are available:
- Request Count
- Response Count
- Fault Count
- Maximum Response Time
- Minimum Response Time
- Average Response Time
It also provides a graphical view of the system response time.
