This is the back end runtime engine that process events. There are three types of back end runtime engines in WSO2 Complex Event Processor, They are,

  • Siddhi Complex Event Processing Engine
  • Fusion Complex Event Processing Engine (Deprecated)
  • EsperTM Complex Event Processing Engine (Deprecated)

Note

Siddhi is shipped with WSO2 CEP by default and hence uses are advised to use this.

User is possible to select the runtime as his/her preference. The only thing need to consider when selecting the runtime engine is Query, Since query structure differs with the back end runtime used.
