The graphical editor can be used to do the following dashboard customization only when creating and personalizing a dashboard.

Removing a dashboard block

  1. Add a dashboard. For more information, see steps 1 to 5 in Creating a Dashboard.
  2. Click on the close link that corresponds to the block that you wish to remove.

Adding a dashboard block

  1. Add a dashboard. For more information, see steps 1 to 5 in Creating a Dashboard.
  2. Click Add Block.
  3. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the pointer either vertically, horizontally or diagonally to define the gadget size in the grid.
  4. Click Add Empty Block

Repositioning a dashboard block

  1. Add a dashboard. For more information, see steps 1 to 5 in Creating a Dashboard.
  2. Hold down the left mouse button and when the pointer becomes a four-headed arrow, drag the pointer to reposition the block on the dashboard. 

Adding a gadget to a dashboard block

  1. Add a dashboard. For more information, see steps 1 to 5 in Creating a Dashboard.
  2. Move your mouse pointer over the block.
    The Add Gadget button will appear. 
  3. Click the Add Gadget button in the block.
    The Add Gadget from Store page will appear. 
     
  4. Select a suitable gadget from the store and click the Add Gadget button corresponding to the selected gadget.

Setting gadget preferences

The gadget preferences will vary, as the UES allows users to create their own gadgets from scratch.

  1. Add a dashboard. For more information, see steps 1 to 5 in Creating a Dashboard.
  2. Hover your mouse pointer around the top right corner of the gadget.
  3. Click the settings link shown below:
  4. Set the gadget preferences.
  5. Click Save.

Changing the gadget view preferences

  1. Add a dashboard. For more information, see steps 1 to 5 in Creating a Dashboard.
  2. Change the gadget view preferences as follows:
    • To maximize a gadget, click the maximize link shown below:
    • To minimize a gadget, click the minimize link shown below:
