App Store Web interface facilitates social interaction among the users by allowing them to add application reviews, to rate applications, and to like or dislike reviews. Subscribed users can add ratings and reviews to an application, and those reviews are used to sort applications in App Store based on popularity.
Adding reviews and ratings to an application
Your review will be visible to other users, together with your username, and the date that you posted the review. Follow the below instructions to add a review and to rate an application.
- Log in to App Store using one of the following URLs:
- http://localhost:9763/store/
- https://localhost:9443/store/
- Click on the application to which, you need to add ratings and reviews.
- Click User Reviews.
- Enter your review, and click on the respective star to rate the application. For example, if you click the 4th star, you are rating the application as a 4 star application. The application rating will depict the overall average rating of the application.
- Click Post Review.
Liking or disliking a review
App Publisher users are allowed to add likes and dislikes to reviews posted for a particular application. Follow the below instructions to like or dislike a review.
- Log in to App Store using one of the following URLs:
- http://localhost:9763/store/
- https://localhost:9443/store/
- Click on the application of which, you need to view ratings and reviews.
- Click User Reviews.
- Click like or dislike flags of the reviews as shown below.
Sorting applications
The applications can be sorted based on user reviews, ratings, likes, and dislikes. Follow the instructions below to sort applications by popularity.
- Log in to App Store using one of the following URLs:
- Click Web Applications.
- Use the following set of icons to sort the applications list based on popularity, alphabetical order, created data, and usage.
EMM users can rate mobile applications (apps) via the Store. While, the overall user rating average will be shown as the app rating. If required, the users can remove the rating that they gave a mobile app.
Rating a mobile app
Follow the instructions below to rate a mobile app:
Click on the Mobile Apps tab in the Store.
- Search for the mobile app and click on the selected mobile app.
- Click on the respective star to rate the mobile app.
For example, if you click on the 3rd star, you will be giving the mobile app a three star rating. When users rate mobile apps, the rating counter will increment.
Removing a mobile app rating
Follow the instructions below to remove your rating for a mobile app:
Click on the Mobile Apps tab in the Store.
- Search for the mobile app and click on the selected mobile app.
- Click the Cancel Rating link as shown below:
