You can generate report for your data which is available in data base using this feature. Reporting feature uses the Jasper Reports to generate reports. With this feature you can generate reports in following two ways:
- Custom Reporting
Here you have to create your own jasper report file (.jrxml file) by using jasper report designing tool such as iReport and upload the designed file to WSO2 BAM server to generate the report out of it. - Using Pre-designed Reports
This feature facilitates to generate the jasper report report directly and no need to use any report designing tools to generate your report. It has pre-designed report templates for report formats such as table type, bar chart type, pie-chart type, etc and you can customise those templates according to your requirement for certain extend by following steps mentioned in generate table report, generate bar chart report, etc
Note, only certain level of customisation in the template is supported. If you want more advanced customisation you can edit the auto generated jasper report file OR you have to select 'Custom reporting' for your reports.
This is feature is well suited for quick and easy report generation.
Further more currently with this feature you can generate pdf, excel sheet, html type of reports.
