An endpoint is a specific destination for a message. Endpoints can be switched on and off as required. This is functionality allows endpoints to be temporarily deactivated to avoid performance issues that result from heavy traffic. 

Switching on and off is available only for defined endpoints.

Tip

The Defined Endpoints tab shows endpoints saved in synapse configuration. The Dynamic Endpoints tab shows endpoints saved in registry.

Switching On Endpoint

Follow the instructions below to enable statistics for an endpoint.

1. Sign in. Enter your user name and password to log on to the ESB Management Console.

2. Click on "Main" in the left menu to access the "Manage" menu.

3. In the "Manage" menu, click on "Endpoints" under "Service Bus."

4. The "Manage Endpoints" page appears.

5. Choose the "Defined Endpoints" tab.

6. Select the necessary endpoint from the list and click on the "Switch On" link in the "Action" column.

7. The statistics for the endpoint will be activated.

Switching Off Endpoint

1. Select the necessary endpoint from the list in the "Defined Endpoints" tab and click on the "Switch Off" link in the "Action" column.

2. The statistics for the endpoint will be inactivated.
