Creating a BPEL Workflow
This page describes how to create a BPEL workflow for use with the Business Process Server.
To create a BPEL Workflow, open WSO2 Developer Studio Dashboard and click BPEL Workflow from the Business Process Server category.
There are two ways to create a BPEL artifact.
- New BPEL Workflow
- Import BPEL Workflow
If you choose the New BPEL Workflow option and click Next, you will have to fill information like Project Name, Process Name, Process Namespace etc. By default, Process Name will be automatically filled as the name you entered for the Project Name. You can change the Process Name later if you need.
Give the necessary information and click Finish. Now you will see the BPEL Workflow has been created in the workspace and you can define the BPEL Process by a simple drag and drop.
With the Import BPEL Workflow option, you can import a BPEL workflow which is saved in the Zip format, from the file system. Browse for the BPEL Zip file and click Finish.
Now you will see content of the archive file has been extracted and a BPEL Workflow has been created in the workspace.
Once you are done with editing the BPEL Process, you can create a Deployable Archive and deploy it to the WSO2 Business Process Server. You can create a BPEL Archive file by right-clicking on the BPEL Workflow that you have created, and clicking Export Project as Deployable Archive.
Give the location where you want to save the archive file and click Finish.
As another option, you can group the BPEL Workflow that you have created in to a Composite Application Project and create a Composite Application Archive [CAR] and deploy in to WSO2 Business Process Server.
