Replacing a Node in a Minimum HA Cluster

To remove a node from a cluster and replace it with a different node, follow the steps below.

1. Copy the following files and directories from to stopped node to the corresponding location in the new node.
   • <DAS_HOME>/repository/conf/analytics/my-node-id.dat file
   • <DAS_HOME>/repository/data directory
   • <DAS_HOME>/repository/conf/analytics/local-shard-allocation-config.conf file
   • <DAS_HOME>/repository/conf/analytics/spark-defaults.conf file
     

2. Do the configurations required for a minimum HA cluster for the node. For detailed instructions, see WSO2 Clustering Guide - Minimum High Availability Deployment for WSO2 DAS 3.1.0.
   

   If the IP of the newly added node has changed, follow the steps below:

   1. Shutdown the DAS cluster
   2. Update the member scheme in the <DAS_HOME>/repository/conf/axis2/axis2.xml file with the new IP. For more information, see WSO2 Clustering Guide - Minimum High Availability Deployment for DAS 3.1.0 - Member Schema.
3. Restart the WSO2 DAS servers.
