Resetting a User's Password

A ESB Administrator has the ability to reset a user's password in case it has been lost or forgotten. See more information in Users, Roles and Permissions.

Note

You cannot change the user name of an existing user.

Follow the instructions below to reset user's password.

1. Sign in. Enter your user name and password to log on to the ESB Management Console.

2. Click the "Configure" button to access the "Configure" menu.

3. In the "Configure" menu of "ESB Management Console," click on "Users and Roles" to access "System User Store."

4. Click on "Users" to access the menu.

5. The "Users" list opens. Locate the required user, for example, "user1."

6. Click on the "Change Password" link for the necessary user.

7. The "Change Password" window opens. Fill in the "New Password" and the "New Password Repeat" fields. Click on the "Change" button.

8. The "WSO2 Carbon" window appears. Click "OK."
