Deleting a Server Role
In server roles manager, server roles properties will be of two types, "Default" and "Custom". The "Default" type will be all the server roles picked from that particular product instance's carbon.xml
and all other server roles added by the user will have the "Custom" type.
Follow the instructions below to delete a server role.
1. Sign in. Enter your user name and password to log on to the ESB Management Console.
2. Click the "Configure" button to access the "Configure" menu.
3. From the "Configure" menu, select "Server Roles."
4. The "Server Roles" page appears. Chose the role you want to delete. For example, "role1." Click "Delete."
5. A confirmation request message is displayed. Click "Yes."
Note
You can't undo this operation once performed.
6. The server role is deleted.
Note
Here users can even delete a default server role. Once it is deleted, when next time loading, server role manager will not pick it up from the carbon.xml
.
