Managing User Permissions of an Asset

This topic provides instructions on managing permission rights, and on controlling the visibility and access of a particular asset. 

The user managing these permissions can share or restrict a particular asset to other roles available in the system that do not have the 'authorize' permission. The CRUD operation semantic is defined as follows in this permission model.

• A role which has view permission will only have view permission.

• A role which has edit permission will have view and edit permissions.

• A role which has delete permission will have view, edit and delete permissions.

1. Navigate to the permission model screen using the following navigation bar.
   
2. You can share the resource with view permission to public users by selecting the Visible to public option as seen below.
   
3. You can share the resource with view permission to all tenant users by selecting the Visible to all tenant users option as seen below.
   
4. You can share the resource with other roles with view permission by selecting the Visible to specific roles option, selecting the role you want to share the resource with, and clicking the Add button.
   
   
   
   
5. You can share the resource with other roles with Edit or Delete permission by selecting the Visible to specific roles option and selecting the permission action from the dropdown.
   
   
6. You can restrict the resource with other roles by selecting the Visible to specific roles option and clicking on the Remove button of the specific role.
