About this Release
What's New in this Release
WSO2 IS version 4.5.0 is the successor of version 4.1.0. It contains the following new features and enhancements:
- WSO2 Identity Server now supports dynamic configuration of multiple user stores. This also allows users to configure their own user stores, out-of-the-box. This feature includes:
- User Store Management user interface.
- Per tenant/organization user store management.
- This release provides OAuth 2.0 based authentication for SCIM.
- WSO2 Identity Server now supports OpenID Connect Basic Client Profile.
- WSO2 Identity Server now includes SAML2 grant type for OAuth 2.0.
- For improved usage, WSO2 Identity Server comes with a Trusted SAML2 Identity Provider Management user interface.
- Multiple Trusted Identity Providers per tenant/organization are now possible.
- Ability to customize login pages for SAML2, OAuth, OpenID Connect, Passive STS and OpenID outside IS.
- User's can now lock or unlock their accounts.
- Improved support for user name/password validation policies.
- Account recovery can now be validated using email addresses or secret questions.
- SAML2 Web SSSO HTTP POST binding (Authentication Request).
- Seamless integration with Google Apps and Salesforce.
- Improved XACML editor.
- Ability to define grant types for OAuth 2.0 applications.
Improvements to the Base Framework
- New distributed caching implementation based on Hazelcast.
