Adding a Device to a Group

You can add a device to a group using any one of the following methods shown below:

Adding a device to a group via the device

Follow the steps given below to add a device type to a group. 

1. Sign in to the WSO2 IoTS device management console.
2. Click View under DEVICES.
   
3. Select the device you need to add to a group and click the add to group icon. 
   
4. Select the group from the drop-down list and click Assign.
   

Adding a device to group via the group

For example, follow the steps given below to add the Arduino device to the lobby group that you created when adding a new device group.

1. Sign in to the WSO2 IoTs device management console.

2. Click View under GROUPS.
   

3. Click on the view icon of the required group.
   

4. Click Assign from My Devices, if you are adding a device for the first time or click ASSIGN FROM MY DEVICES on top of the screen.
5. Click the add to group icon on the device you wish to add to a group.
   

6. Select the device group you want to add the device to from the drop down list and click Assign.
   

   The groups that appear in the drop down list are the groups you create using adding a new device group.
