WSO2 Task Server can be used as a central server for registering and scheduling tasks. This task provider facility can be used for any web task which executes jobs in an independent application or it can be used for interfacing tasks which are already defined in other carbon applications. 

Therefore, WSO2 Task Server allows you the convenience of a dedicated task handling service, which executes all tasks according to a given criteria and a specific, periodic sequence. With web tasks, you can easily configure the criteria for task execution as well as the periodic occurrence using the management console of the task server.
