About Cloud Gateway

Most cooperate networks today are secured with cooperate firewalls. There are services deployed in a private network that can only be accessed within the organization. WSO2 Cloud Gateway (CG) helps you gain access to internal networks from outside a firewall. It creates a managed, secured channel for business processes and other tasks running in a public cloud to get access to enterprise data and services. With WSO2 Cloud Gateway, service and data owners inside the enterprise can choose to selectively publish services and data to the cloud. The resulting services can be fully protected – authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity and more – where only approved messages are delivered to access the services.

WSO2 CG also provides a way to expose inside-the-firewall services, apis, and apps to the Internet without having to open inbound ports. This enables greater flexibility in exposing private resources while still maintaining existing security policies (Firewall rules). CG allows:

  • Private data access
  • API protection
  • Firewall servicing
  • Outsourcing computations
  • Security verification
