If the currently selected entity is a collection, the "Content" panel is called "#Entries" and shows the child entries and details of each entry under that collection. An entry can be either another collection or a resource. Here you can also #add a new resource, #add a new collection, and create a link.

If the currently selected entity is a resource, the "#Content" panel provides a user interface through which you can display, edit, upload, and download the content.

Entries Panel

  • Add Resource
  • Add Collection
  • Create Link
  • Child Resources - The list of child entries under the collection provides the following information:
    • Name - The name of the child resource.
    • Created On - The date when the child resource was created.
    • Author - The author who created the child resource.

You can also see detailed information about the resource by clicking on the "Info" icon. The following information is available:

  • Media Type
  • Feed
  • Rating

To see the available resource actions, click on the "Actions" icon.

The following resource actions are available:

  • #Rename - Allows you to rename a resource/collection.
  • #Move - Allows you to move a resource/collection to a new directory.
  • #Delete - Allows you to delete a resource/collection.
  • #Copy - Allows you to copy a resource/collection to a specified directory.

Tip

Not all of these options are available for every resource/collection.

Renaming a Resource/Collection

1. To rename a resource/collection, click "Rename" and enter a new name into the field.

2. Click on the "Rename" button to save a new name for the resource/collection.

Moving a Resource/Collection

1. To move a resource/collection to a new directory, click "Move" and specify the "Destination Path."

2. Click "Move."

Deleting a Resource/Collection

1. To delete a resource/collection, click "Delete" and confirm your request in the "WSO2 Carbon" window. Click "Yes."

Copying a Resource/Collection

1. To copy a resource/collection to a particular directory, click "Copy" and specify the "Destination Path."

2. Click "Copy."

If the resource was successfully copied, the "WSO2 Carbon" window appears. Click "OK."

Content Panel

The following resource actions are available:

  • Display as text
  • Edit as text
  • Upload
  • Download
Display as Text

The "Display as text" function allows you to view only the content of a resource.

1. Click on the "Display as text" link to see the resource's content.

2. Click on the "Done" button to hide the text.

Edit as Text

The "Edit as text" function allows you to edit a resource, either in "Plain Text Editor" or "Rich Text Editor."

1. Click on the "Edit as text" link to see a resource's text in the editor.

2. After editing the text, click on the "Save Content" button.

Uploading

The "Upload" function allows you to upload a file to a resource.

1. Click on the "Upload" link to upload a file.

2. Use the "Browse" button to select a file from the registry.

3. After selecting a file, click on the "Upload" button.

Downloading

The "Download" function allows you to download a resource from the host.

1. Click on the "Download" link.

2. The "Security Warning" window may appear. Click "Save" to start downloading.

3. Select a path to save the resource.

4. Click "Save" to download the resource to a specified directory.
