Introduction to Reports

WSO2 BAM has a set of predefined reports to facilitate your reporting needs quickly and easily without spending effort on designing from scratch using designing tools such as iReport. In addition, you can also customize the pre-defined templates according to your requirement.

BAM facilitates the jasper report directly, and you do not need to use any report designing tools to generate your report. Its pre-designed report templates include report formats such as table type, bar chart type, pie-chart type, etc. With BAM reports, you can,

• Connect your proffered data base (MySql, h2) and select fields of data which should be populated in the report
• Create many types of report such as bar chart report, table report, pie chart, etc.
• Add many series for chart type reports
• Can generate master report out of reports you have created
• Select a picture/logo and add it in the report in the specified place.
• Select the font style, colour of each elements such as header, body, etc
• Change the back ground colour of report, elements in report such as header, tables, etc.
• Select enable bold, italic, underline, strike through for font elements

Supported Report Types

Table Report

Table report can be generated from your preferred datasource added to the WSO2 Server. You can select a the datasource available in your server, field names of your table, formatting of your table design, etc with few steps and get your data in table report.

Bar Chart Report

Barchart report which contains one or many series can be created via this design. You can customize the number of series, the data you want to plot, etc with few steps and get your bar chart report. Sample of bar chart is shown below.

XY Bar Chart Report

XY barchart report which contains one or many series can be created via this design. You can customize the number of series, the data you want to plot, etc with few steps and get your XY bar chart report. The chart plot requires both x and y axis to be in numeric fields. Sample of bar chart is shown below.

Stacked Bar Chart Report

Stacked barchart report which contains one or many series can be created via this design. As name explains, the series will be stacked top of series. You design your report by selecting the series, and defining your own formatting in few steps. Sample of stacked bar chart is shown below.

Line Chart Type

Line chart report which contains one or many series can be created via this design. You can customize the number of series, the data you want to plot, etc with few steps and get your line chart report. Sample of line  chart is shown below.

XY Line Chart Type

XY line chart report which contains one or many series can be created via this design. You can customize the number of series, the data you want to plot, etc with few steps and get your XY line chart report. The chart plot requires both x and y axis to be in numeric fields. Area Chart Type

Composite Report

You can obtain form a master report of composing your selected reports you have defined and produce a combination of report formats mentioned. see Composite Report to add composite report.
