Editing an Asset
Follow the instructions below to edit an asset:
- Log into the ES Back-office using one of the following URLs:
http://localhost:9763/publisher/
https://localhost:9443/publisher/ - Select the asset type from the Type drop-down list. For example, if you wish to edit a gadget, select "Gadget".
Search for the asset as follows:
- Enter the full name of the asset, in the search text-box that is found on the right-side of the interface.
- Click on the search icon.
- Click on the asset. The selected asset overview will appear.
- Click Edit.Â
Edit the asset details as required. The fields will vary based on the selected asset type. The Provider, Name and Version can not be edited. All the fields respective to the default assets have been described as follows:
Field Description Provider This field is automatically filled in. It displays the username of the user who is adding the asset. Name This is the name of the asset. A meaningful name should be provided. Version The version corresponding to the asset. This is useful to the user to differentiate between multiple versions of an asset. Category Categories are high level groupings of the assets. An asset can have only one category. URL The URL of the location where the site/gadget has been hosted. When adding e-books, this depicts the location of the e-book on your machine, as e-books have to be uploaded. Description Summarized information on the purpose of the asset. Thumbnail The asset thumbnail image needs to be uploaded; therefore, navigate to the image on your machine. Banner The banner thumbnail image needs to be uploaded; therefore, navigate to the image on your machine. Tags Tags act as keywords that help to describe the asset. One asset can have more than one tags. Author The author of the e-book. ISBN The International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is a unique numeric commercial book identifier. - Click Update.
