Interacting with Assets

The actions that can be carried out on an asset will vary based on the asset type selected. The following are the actions that can be carried out on the default assets that have been shipped with ES.

Sorting assets

1. Sign into the Store.
2. Click on the asset type for which you need to carry out the search. 
   
   • If you need to view one asset type (e.g., searching only for gadgets), click on the menu that corresponds to that specific asset type (e.g.,Gadget) in the left menu navigator.
   • If you need to view all the asset types, click ALL in the left menu navigator.
     
3. Use one of the following methods to sort the assets.

• • Sort by the asset name.
    Select Name. This sorts the assets in alphabetical order.
     
  • Sort by the date and time the asset was created.
    Select Date/Time. This sorts the assets based on the date and time that it was created.
    

Navigating to the asset site

Follow the instructions below to navigate to the actual website that is illustrated by the asset.

1. Sign into the Store.
2. Click Sites in the left navigator menu.
   
3. Search for the asset and click on the asset.
4. Click View.
   
   This redirects you to the actual website that corresponds to the asset.
   For example, when you click the view button that corresponds to the Amazon asset, it redirects you to http://www.amazon.com/.
   

Viewing the source code of gadgets

Follow the instructions below to view the source code of a gadget.

1. Sign into the Store.
2. Click Gadgets in the left navigator menu.
   
3. Search for the asset and click on the asset.
4. Click View to view the XML code that corresponds to the respective gadget. 
   
   

Working with asset reviews and ratings

Adding a review and rating an asset

Follow the instructions below to add a review and rate an asset:

1. Sign into the Store. 

2. Search for the asset and click on the asset.

3. Click User Reviews.

4. Optionally, enter your review in the available text area.

   If you wish to only rate the asset, you can avoid adding a review.

5. Click on a star to rate the asset.

   

   For example, if you click on the 5th star you will be rating the asset as a 5-star asset. 

   The overall rating that is shown against each asset depicts the number of user reviews that are available for the asset and the star rating depicts the overall average rating of the asset.

6. Click Submit.
   The reviews are visible to other users together with the reviewer's username.  
   

Liking or disliking a review

Follow the instructions below to indicate whether you like or dislike a review:

1. Sign into the Store.

2. Search for the asset and click on the asset.

3. Click User Reviews.

4. Indicate your opinion of the user review.

   • If you like a certain review, click on the thumbs-up link that corresponds to the user review.
     

   • If you dislike a certain review, click on the thumbs-down link that corresponds to the user review.
     
   Your preference gets highlighted after you have selected it.
   

Deleting a review

Follow the instructions below to delete a review:

1. Sign into the Store.

2. Search for the asset and click on the asset.

3. Click User Reviews.

4. Click the Delete button that corresponds to the review that you wish to delete.
   

Editing a review

Follow the instructions below to edit your review:

1. Sign into the Store.

2. Search for the asset and click on the asset.

3. Click User Reviews.

4. Click the Edit button that corresponds to your review.
5. Click Update.

Sharing an asset on social media 

1. Sign into the Store. 

2. Search for the asset and click on the asset.

3. Click Share.

   To select the media on which you wish to share the asset click on the respective social site icon.

   An asset can be shared via Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Digg.

   

4. Sign into the social media site.
   For example, if you share the asset on Facebook, the login page appears as follows:
