Enabling or Disabling the Search History

When the search history is enabled in WSO2 Enterprise Store (ES), the users search history is listed down automatically when a user types matching words in the Publisher or Store search box. A user can traverse through the suggested search history and pick a suggested search query, and thereby reuse their search queries.

The search history feature can be enabled or disabled at anytime in the Store by following the instructions below:

The search history can not be disabled in the Publisher.

  1. Sign into the WSO2 ES Management Console.
  2. Navigate to the Main menu and click Browse, which is listed under the Resource menu.
  3. Navigate to the /_system/config/store/configs/store.json registry resource file by clicking the following.
    _system     > config > store >configs > store.json
  4. Click Edit as text.
  5. Enable or disable this feature.
    • Set the enabled flag to false to disable this feature when it is enabled.
    • Set the enabled flag to true to enable this feature when it is disabled.
  6. Click Save Content.
  7. Gracefully restart the WSO2 ES server.
