Managing Providers

A provider is the organization that owns the API and exposes data and services through it. Providers can be defined in the Governance Registry.

Adding a provider

Follow the instructions below to add a provider. 

  1. Click Main >Metadata > Add > Provider.

  2. Enter values as required.

    FieldDescription
    NameThe name of the provider.
    VersionThe version of the API (e.g., 1.0.0).
    DescriptionA description of the provider.
    Endpoint URLEndpoint of the back-end service URL (E.g. - http://ws.cdyne.com/phoneverify/phoneverify.asmx)
    WSDLThe URL of WSDL file.
    TagsAny number of tags separated by comma. Tags allow you to group/categorize APIs that have similar attributes and behaviors. When tagging, always use relevant keywords and common search terms
    Tier AvailabilityTiers represents different levels of services, a user has to specify a tier to create an API.

Listing providers

Available providers can be listed as follows.

  1. Click Main >Metadata > List > Provider.
  2. Filter the list of providers as required. 

When filtering the data using more than one value in the search field, use comma separated values with quotation marks to distinguish the values. E.g., if there are two entries with the words Connector and Resource, the search string would be: "Connector", "Resource".
