Service Grouping

Service Grouping allows DevOps to group related multi-tenant cartridges into one group. However, the cartridges in a service group can belong to different cartridge types: Data, Application or Framework. This feature can be enabled by adding the following property in the cartridge definition JSON.
serviceGroup : "<GROUP_NAME>" 

For example:

serviceGroup : "apim" 

All cartridges that have the same cartridge group will be displayed together. For example, service grouping is used in WSO2 API Manager cartridges and the apim service group will include the following cartridges:

  • API Publisher
  • API Store
  • API Gateway
  • API Key Manager

The following screenshot illustrates as to how cartridges with service grouping will appear via the Stratos Manager Console (UI):
