Creating a dashboard

1. Access the UES portal.
2. On the Create menu, click Dashboard.
    
3. Enter a title for the dashboard.
   The dashboard title can only have alphanumerical values and - hyphens. 
    
4. Select a layout, by clicking on one of the four default layouts. If you wish to have a customized layout, you need to initially select a default layout and customize it later when customizing the dashboard.
5. Click Create new app.
   The designer page will appear for the dashboard creation process. 
   
6. Customize the dashboard.
7. Click Save.
8. Click View, if you wish to view the dashboard.
9. Publish the dashboard.

Publishing a dashboard as a microsite

Follow the instructions below to publish a dashboard to the store: 

1. Access the UES portal.

2. On the My Items menu, click on the dashboard folder that needs to be published to the Store.

3. Click Publish.

   The Published Settings page will appear.

   

4. Select "Site" as the Publish as option.
   Dashboards too need to be published as Sites. The default value is Sites.

5. If required, edit the a name for the site.

6. If required, edit the URL that will be used to publicly access the site.

7. Enter a description on the microsite.

8. Enter the URL of the thumbnail.

   A default thumbnail will appear if a thumbnail URL is not specified. 

9. Enter the URL of the image.

   A default image will appear if a image URL is not specified.  

10. Click Publish. A success message will appear after the dashboard has been published as a microsite to the Store.

11. Click Close.
