Editing an Asset

You can not edit an asset (gadget, microsite or dashboard) via the UES IDE editor.

The various buttons available in the UES portal have been illustrated in the following diagram:

Rearrange files in the folder hierarchy

Follow the instructions below to rearrange the files in the folder hierarchy:

  1. Access the UES portal via one of the following URLs:
  2. Click on the asset folder in the left navigation panel. The folders and files corresponding to the selected asset folder will appear in the right panel.
  3. If you want to move a file into a lower level folder that is within the same asset, left click on the file and drag the file into that folder.
    For example, moving the subscriber-gadget.js file into the js folder.
  4. If you want to move a file/folder into a higher level folder that is within the same asset or another asset folder, left click on the file/folder and drag it into the new destination folder in the left navigation panel.
    For example, moving the subscriber-gadget.js file from the js folder into the sub-gadget folder.

Renaming a file or folder within an asset folder

Follow the instructions below to rename a file or folder within an asset folder:

  1. Access the UES portal via one of the following URLs:
  2. Click on the file or folder in the right panel.
  3. Click on the rename button and rename the file/folder.

Renaming the parent level asset folder

Follow the instructions below to rename the parent level asset folder:

  1. Navigate to the <UES_HOME>/repository/deployment/server/jaggeryapps/ directory.
  2. Rename the asset folder.
  3. Refresh/Reload the UES portal console.
