Governance Registry Installation Prerequisites

Prior to installing the WSO2 Governance Registry, it is necessary to have the appropriate prerequisite software installed on the system. Verify that the computer has the supported operating system and development platforms before starting the installation.

System Requirements

Confirm that the designated machine meets the following requirements:

Memory

Minimum memory 1GB.

Disk

The installation will require ~200MB, excluding space allocated for log files and Databases.

Operating System

Linux, MS Windows. As the WSO2 Governance Registry is a Java application, it will generally be possible to run it on other operating systems with a JDK 1.6 runtime.

Prior to installing Governance Registry, install the following software:

Java SE Development Kit (JDK)

  • To build the WSO2 Governance Registry from the Source distribution (both JDK and Apache Maven are required).

1.6.0_24 or later

Apache Ant

  • To extract the JAR files required to run the remote Registry API.
  • To simplify the process of setting up remote client applications.

1.8.0 or later

Apache Maven

  • To build the WSO2 Governance Registry from its source distribution (both JDK and Apache Maven are required).

3.0.3 or later

Mozilla Firefox

  • To access the Governance Registry Management Console.

15.0 at a resolution of 1024x768 is recommended.

MS Internet Explorer 8 can be used as well.

 

Once the installation prerequisites have been completed, you can proceed to installing Governance Registry. See:
