Data Recipients can create applications to facilitate banking services exposed via Bank APIs. These Data Recipients are subject to thorough verification before connecting them with the banks/Data Holders, this is to make sure that the financial data and the applications are secured. For a Data Recipient to start providing open banking services, it has to be registered under the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
